Serial Home Invader Potentially Caught

A 44-year-old man faces charges after Windsor police found their suspect inside a home in the 300-block of Pine St.

Officers saw a man acting suspiciously in the area, and believed he may be trying to break into a residence.

Police approached the house and noticed an open gate and then damage to a back entrance.

They ended up finding the suspect in the home's basement and arrested him after a struggle.

The 82-year-old homeowner was two floors up when this happened.

Investigators believe the suspect could be linked to other break-ins in the same neighbourhood over the past few months.
