Six Arrested After Drug Bust

Windsor police have arrested six people involved with illegal drug activity, including two alleged dealers.

Police say after receiving numerous complaints from residents in the neighbourhood, the Windsor Police Drug and Guns Unit executed a search warrant in the 800-block of Assumption St. on Wednesday.

Police seized a shotgun, four pellet guns and several different types of drugs, including oxycodone and percocet pills.

The six people arrested range in age from 24 to 50 and all reside in Windsor.

Police say many in the neighbourhood approached officers after the bust showing their appreciation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
