NDP Nominate Candidate For Essex Riding

The Essex NDP has nominated Tracey Ramsey to run for the member of parliament position in the next federal election.

Ramsey, a Windsor Ford Motor Company employee, as well as a grassroots activist and community advocate, was nominated by acclamation during an Essex NDP meeting on Sunday.

Ramsey says she's honoured to have been nominated.

"For me, what this really means is a chance to fight for the people of Essex; to really stand up for the really small vibrant communities that exist out here in the county, and become a voice for the people that are living out here," she says.

The next federal election is scheduled for October 19, 2015.
