Fire Destroys Pickup Truck

Fire officials in Lakeshore are trying to figure out what started a garage fire in Belle River.

Firefighters got the call around 2:30am Monday.

Nobody was hurt, but the fire in the 200-block of Notre Dame St. destroyed the detached garage and a pickup truck parked inside.

Officials estimate it caused $50,000 damage, and the cause is undetermined.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
