Spitfires Edge Whalers

The Windsor Spitfires rallied in the third period to score a 2-1 victory over the Plymouth Whalers Friday night.

After a scoreless first period, Windsor took a 1-0 lead in the second. Plymouth was able to tie the game in the final frame, but the Spits scored the winning goal with just over two minutes left in the game.

Slater Doggett and Markus Soberg each scored one goal for Windsor.

The Spitfires are back on the ice on Thursday to take on the Ottawa 67's at 7:05pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
