Creative PSAs To Help Poor

Walkerville Collegiate Institute in Windsor will soon be creating public service announcements to get more youth involved at the Downtown Mission.

The Ontario Ministry of Education is providing funding for 25 students to participate in a program called ICE, which stands for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship.

Mission Director Ron Dunn is excited about the project. "We're assisting many young people at the mission, from a poverty perspective. So for youth that are not experiencing poverty to come in and help other youth -- we think it's going to go a long way."

Dunn has yet to nail down exactly where the PSAs will be aired, but says Cogeco is one likely destination.
