UPDATE: Power Restored After Flood

Fire crews were forced to close the northbound lane of Ouellette Ave. in Windsor after an apartment building sustained massive flooding.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Sunday around 3pm, water began to gush out of the front entrance of the downtown apartment located at 540 Ouellette Ave.  The water also flowed into The Manchester pub located next door, which was forced to close.

Enwin Utilities shut down the power on the entire block while crews worked at the scene, which has all since been restored.

Fire officials say water damage to the apartment building was extensive and the cause of the flooding is unknown at this time.
