Firefighters Battle Blaze At Chrysler Plant

Fire crews have been called the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Windsor after the roof caught fire.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Saturday around 5:40pm, firefighters attended the blaze in the 2100-block of Chrysler Centre. The fire was contained to a small, 8 meter section of the roof.

Fire officials say the blaze was caused by "accidental ignition."  A damage estimate is unknown at this time.

Windsor police closed Chrysler Centre between Somme and Grand Marais while firefighters were at the scene. The road has since been reopened.
