Positive Step For Windsor Airport

For the first time in more than seven years, the Windsor International Airport is turning a profit.

Mayor Drew Dilkens says the city is set to receive a dividend of $1-million this year.

"The real exciting part is that the $27,000 a month payment that the city was making to the operator of the airport will also cease this year," explains Dilkens. "So they'll be operating on their own two feet."

The City of Windsor took over YQG in 2007.
