Windsor Housing Sales Soar

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors says housing sales jumped almost 32.5% last month compared to last February. So far this year, sales are up almost 28.3%.

The association's monthly report says 359 homes were sold compared to 271 in February 2014. Of the homes sold, the bungalow/ranch style was the most popular with 110 changing owners.

The average price also climbed 3.51% to $192,163. In February 2014, the average price of a home sold in Windsor-Essex was $185,651. So far this year, the average price is up 2.1%.

Total monthly listings climbed 4.4% as 522 homes were put on the market. There are now 1,905 properties available.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
