Windsor Fatality In York Region Crash

The York Regional Police says a Windsor man is dead after he was hit by two vehicles while walking along a rural highway north of Toronto.

Constable Andy Pattenden says police won't release the 47-year-old man's name, although officers have spoken to the next of kin.

Pattenden says the man was walking on the road along Hwy.11 near Canal Rd. in Bradford when he was struck by one vehicle, and then a second vehicle around 5:50am Thursday. There are a number of motels in the area but there's no sidewalk, and it's dimly lit.

Both drivers stopped, and police won't lay charges but are seeking witnesses as the investigation continues.

Hwy.11 is a mainly rural highway running between Bradford and Newmarket.
