High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The Windsor Express have started off the first round of the NBL playoffs with a 107-89 win over the Mississauga Power in Game 1.
On Saturday, the Express were up by seven points at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 51-35 by halftime. Mississauga was able to tie the game 55-55 part way through the third frame, but Windsor regained and held their lead until the end of the fourth quarter.
Ryan Anderson scored 25 points and grabbed ten rebounds for Windsor, while Tony Bennett had ten points and 13 assists.
The Express will take on the Power for Game 2 on Tuesday at 7pm.
