Amherstburg is preparing to tender out the long-awaited Texas Rd. reconstruction project.
Council has given its approval for adminstration to get the paperwork done.
About half the funding for the $4.5-million project is set come from a provincial grant and gas tax money, while a $1.2-million loan is also included in project funding in order to have the work done this year.
The project is a scaled down version of the proposal the last council was planning on carrying out before financial problems came to the forefront.
