Alleged Drunk Turns Self In

An Essex man appears to have received the message about drunk driving, if a little late.

Dispatch with the Ontario Provincial Police in Essex County got a call around 10am Tuesday from a man who indicated he was too drunk to drive his vehicle. He had pulled over onto the shoulder of Hwy. 3.

When officers arrived, they found open liquor in the vehicle.

Police arrested the 55-year-old. He faces a charge of impaired care and control of a motor vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
