Investigation After Elderly Man Robbed

A 79-year-old Windsor man, out for a walk in the city's west end, is recovering from facial injuries after a robbery.

Police say it happened around 7:30am Saturday in the area of Felix Ave. and Linwood Pl.

The victim was approached by a white man who was about 20 years old and 5'8" with a thin build and short blonde hair. The suspect assaulted the victim and took cash and personal items.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
