UPDATE: Car Catches Fire In Garage

Firefighters have extinguished a garage fire in the 2400-block of Everts Ave. in Windsor.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Sunday around 3:30pm, fire crews attended a residence to find that a car had caught fire inside the garage. The fire was put out within a half an hour.

Everyone made it out of the house and no one was injured in the fire.

Fire officials say the blaze occurred while someone was working on the car in the garage. The fire has been ruled accidental and damage is estimated at around $100,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
