Police Investigate Overnight Stabbing

Police are searching for a suspect after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the 300-block of Ouellette Ave. in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says around 2:30am Sunday morning, the victim got into an altercation in the street with a man he didn't know. The encounter escalated, and the victim thought he was punched in the stomach.

When he went into the Boom Boom Room shortly after the incident, patrons and staff realized the man had been stabbed. They brought him to hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a Jamaican man standing 6'2" or 6'3". He was wearing a burgundy long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
