Spago Fire Damages Total $600K (Gallery)

The blaze that ripped through a south Windsor home over the weekend caused $400,000 in damage.

Windsor fire officials say the exact cause is undetermined, but the fire did start in the dining and living room area.

Fire crews were called to 4285 Spago Cres. on Sunday at around 6:30pm. The entire first floor was engulfed in flames, which damaged the house next door causing $200,000 in damage.

One person was sent to hospital with injuries to their hands, but the severity remains unknown. Five other people were able to make it out safely, while the family of ten next door wasn't home at the time. All 16 people are currently displaced.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
