Multiple Arrests At Wyandotte Apartment

Eight people face charges after Windsor police seize drugs and weapons during the search of an apartment in the 600-block of Wyandotte St. E.

Officers entered the building around 8pm Wednesday and uncovered small amounts of cocaine and marijuana, along with percocet and morphine tablets.

Four people, three men and one woman, between the ages of 30 and 52 were arrested.

Ten minutes later, a cab pulled up to the building and upon seeing police on the scene, one man got out of the car and ran.

Police officers tracked him down and arrested the three others in the taxi as well after finding two firearms -- one that the runner threw away while on foot, and another in the car.  Those four, between the ages of 18 and 22, face weapon-related offenses, with more charges pending.
