This Year's Strawberry Fest Entertainment

The Walkervilles are headlining this year's LaSalle Strawberry Festival.

Lead songwriter for the Windsor-based band Michael Hargreaves says it's always a lot of fun to play local festivals -- something the group's done a lot of in recent years. "We've never had the chance to play Strawberry Fest. It's actually one of the few (local festivals) we haven't played, and we're stoked," explains Hargreaves. "It's going to be really good."

Hargreaves says the Walkervilles have been busy after independently releasing their record, Rebirth Of The Cool, last year. They've recently been writing new music in New York, with other shows booked in France and London, England for the summer.

The 28th annual LaSalle Strawberry Festival runs June 11-14, with the Walkervilles on stage the night of Saturday, June 13.
