Housing Sales Continue Upward Trend

Housing sales in Windsor-Essex continued their upward trend in March with a 32.16% increase over March 2014.

It's the third consecutive month sales were up and so far, the year to date figures show a 29.2% increase.

The Windsor-Essex County Realtors Association says 452 homes were sold compared to 342 in the same month last year.

The average price of a home sold in Windsor-Essex also jumped 12.2% to $197,566. That's a 6.8% increase so far this year.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
