Border Guard Helps Arrest Suspect

With the help of a border guard, police in Windsor have arrested a suspect after a robbery at a Tim Hortons.

Police say a man walked into the coffee shop on Park St. E, not far from the exit of the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel just after 6:30am Friday and demanded money. Once he got some, he ran.

A witness pointed the man out to an officer with the Canada Border Services Agency, who kept an eye on the suspect until police arrived. Once police arrested the man, they recovered the stolen money.

A 24-year-old man faces a robbery charge.
