UPDATE: Stovetop Fire Burns Resident

One person has been sent to hospital after a fire started on a kitchen stove.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says around 11pm Saturday night, firefighters received a call about a blaze at a home on Holly Cres.

One victim was sent to hospital after hot oil burned their hands and feet.

Damage was minimal, estimated around $500.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
