Arrest In Vehicle Thefts

Police in Windsor have recovered stolen property from at least four vehicles broken into in the area of Giles Blvd. and Windsor Ave.

Officers on patrol around 2am Tuesday noticed the brake lights flashing on a vehicle parked in the area, so they investigated and found a man inside. Once they found out the man had an outstanding warrant, he was placed under arrest.

The 29-year-old man also faces two counts of theft under $5,000, and two counts of possession of stolen property.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
