Police arrested a 23-year-old Sunday and charged him with robbery.
Officers say the woman was driving down Talbot St. E Saturday evening when she saw someone she knew, who she thought was hitchhiking.
She pulled over to offer a ride, but the man allegedly reached in and grabbed her wallet, hitting her during a brief struggle.
