Express Come Through In Game 1

The Windsor Express have beaten the Halifax Rainmen 113-104 in Game 1 of the NBL Canada Finals.

On Wednesday, the Express held a six-point advantage over Halifax at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead slightly with the score 58-51 going into halftime. The Express kept the Rainmen at bay in the third frame but Halifax was able to climb their way back up, making it 97-95 with five minutes left in the game.

Chris Commons lead Windsor in scoring with 33 points and eight rebounds.

The Express are back at the WFCU Centre for Game 2 against the Rainmen on Friday at 7pm.
