BBQ Starts Fire At House

Damage is pegged at around $2,000 after a barbecue started a fire at a Leamington home.

The Leamington Fire Service says on Friday, the fire started at a Queens Ave. residence when grease from a barbecue ignited and spread to a deck.

There were no injuries reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
