Drugs, Guns Found In Abandoned Car

An abandoned car on Walker Rd. led Windsor police to arrest a man on drug and firearm charges.

On Sunday just before noon police say a car was blocking traffic on Walker Rd. at Somme Ave. Police received information that this vehicle was used in an attempted robbery at the Canadian Tire on Walker Rd.

The trunk was loosely closed using bungee cords when police say they observed a firearm in the trunk. After a vehicle search police found a small quantity of meth, two air pistols and a paintball gun.

Police say the man is prohibited to carry firearms. The 24-year-old male driver has been charged possession of meth and 15 counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
