The toll in Canadian currency will cost $6.25. In U.S. currency, the cost remains the same at $5.
The Canadian Transit Company, which owns the bridge, blames the recent drop in the Canadian dollar for the increase.
Those crossing the border on a regular basis can save $1 by buying a NEXUS Card as long as they buy it with American money. Meanwhile, the toll with a Reward Card is being discounted by $0.40 per crossing.
