New Sportsplex Possible In Tecumseh

The Town of Tecumseh will soon be asking how you envision a new multi-use sportsplex.

Deputy Mayor Joe Bachetti says the idea is to provide access to the community and sports teams that want to do year-round training for things like soccer, baseball or even just walking. "This allows November through March months to be able to enjoy that training, that facility indoors during those cold months," says Bachetti.

He says this new sportsplex would be an add-on to the already existing arena, which holds two ice pads. Bachetti says if all goes well we can expect to see the new facility up-and-running in two or three years.

The public consultation meetings have not yet been scheduled.
