Several Displaced After Fire

The tenants of seven apartment units are displaced following a fire on Wyandotte St. E in Windsor.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Saturday just before 4pm, firefighters responded to the building at 1282 Wyandotte St. E after a fire started in a second floor unit. There were no injuries.

Fire officials say the Red Cross is attending the scene to assist the displaced tenants.

The cause of the fire and a damage estimate are unknown at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
