Officials Return From OSUM Conference

Four Leamington councillors are heading back from Belleville, the site of this year's Ontario Small Urban Municipalities conference.

Mayor John Paterson was there and says some of the best parts of the conference are the conversations with other municipal leaders. "The best part of these conferences are finding out who has the same or similar problems and how they're dealing with them, or if we can help them deal with it."

Paterson says there were also some very informative educational sessions on things like municipal investing and the use of social media.

Premier Kathleen Wynne and the ministers of agriculture and municipal affairs were also in attendance.
