Police Investigate Downtown Stabbing

Windsor police believe they know who is responsible after a woman was stabbed in downtown Windsor.

The victim has been taken to hospital following the incident on Ellis St. E just off Ouellette Ave. at around 2:50pm on Wednesday.

Police say the woman's injuries are non-life threatening.

The suspect is still at large, but police say they have an idea who they're looking for. The person is wanted for aggravated assault. Police haven't provided a suspect description.

Anyone with information is asked to call police as officers continue to investigate.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
