Police say a motel employee found the deceased inside a unit in the 2200-block of Huron Church Rd. just before 11:30am this morning.
Investigators are treating the death as suspicious until an autopsy is complete.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
