UPDATE: Arrests Made In Vacant House Fires

Fire officials are investigating after three vacant houses in Windsor caught fire near the Ambassador Bridge.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Sunday afternoon, firefighters responded to a vacant house fire in the 3200-block of Edison St.  Hours later around 6:30pm, fire crews attended two more house fires just a few blocks away, in the 800-block of Felix Ave.

Fire officials say all three homes are boarded up, and they do not have electricity or natural gas. The three homes are also owned by the Ambassador Bridge Company.

The Windsor Police Service says three youths have been arrested in connection with the fires and are facing possible arson charges. No one was injured in the fires.

A cause has yet to be determined and a fire investigator has been called to the scene. Damage is pegged at $8,000 for one of the Felix Ave. houses. Damage to the other Felix Ave. address is estimated at $40,000.
