Tip Helps Identify Deceased Man

A tip from the public has helped Windsor police identify a man found dead near the WFCU Centre.

The body was discovered along a walking trail north of McHugh St. on the morning of March 19. Police say the man had no identification on him when he passed away.

After sketches and photos were released to the media, a person notified police they believed the man was a tenant in an east Windsor apartment.

Officers found identification in the apartment and through forensic evidence, were able to identify the man.

Next of kin from the United States have been notified, and police aren't releasing the man's name out of respect for the family.
