Arrest In Mac's Armed Robbery

It didn't take Windsor police officers long to track down and arrest a suspect after the Mac's Convenience Store in the 900-block of Ouellette Ave. was held up by a knife-wielding suspect.

Police got the call around 6:20am Thursday morning that a suspect armed with a knife had fled with cash. Officers responded within five minutes and found the suspect running down Victoria Ave.

There was a short chase on foot and officers arrested the suspect in the 700-block of Victoria.

No one was hurt, and police have recovered the money and a knife.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
