Drum Marathon Tops 24 Hours

Live bands are playing in Windsor this weekend at every hour of the day for more than 24 hours.

A variety of bands, some local, but others from Halifax, London and even Scotland are at the Walkerville Brewery.

Gary Demmans helps run the drum marathon and said it supports a great cause. "The reason we're here is to help raise funds for Transition to Betterness that helps cancer patients in the Windsor area. They help fix up cancer wards," he says. "We're also raising money for the St. Clair College scholarship fund."

Demmans hopes to raise $20,000 this year, up from $14,000 last year. The nonstop music started Friday at 6pm and lasts until Sunday at 1am.
