More Stabbing Details Released

Windsor police have released more details about a stabbing in the 1700-block of College Ave. early this morning.

Police say a 29-year-old was found seated in front of a Mac's Milk on Campbell Ave., covered in blood. He was rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds and remains there in stable condition.

Officers followed a trail of blood from the store, back to a College Ave. apartment and charged the 24-year-old resident with attempted murder.

Police now believe the incident may be related to a car crash at Tecumseh Rd. and McKay Ave. about 20 minutes before the stabbing. According to police, someone saw a man and woman leave the scene of the single-vehicle crash in a taxi cab.

Officers are now applying for a search warrant to seize evidence at the College Ave. apartment.
