Little Flood Damage From Storm

"We dodged a bullet," according to an official with the Essex Region Conservation Authority, as a flood watch expires.

Flood and Erosion Coordinator Tim Byrne says there wasn't any major damage. "All north shore waterways, except the Ruscom, were way up in the flood channels. The headwaters in the Puce River just about hit 100-year flood levels."

Byrne says north shore waterways have likely already crested, with River Canard likely to crest sometime tonight.

According to Byrne, basement flooding is likely the main issue in some of the areas prone to those problems.
