Loaded Gun Found During Stop

A man and woman from Leamington face drug and weapons charges after a loaded gun was found in their grey BMW during a traffic stop.

The car was pulled over by police Saturday afternoon on Hwy. 77 because it was going slower than the posted limit.

Police say officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and the driver had a suspended licence.

A search of the car turned up a loaded gun.

The 31-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were released on a promise to appear in court.
