Property Meetings For New Crossing

Officials from the Michigan Department of Transportation are meeting with property owners in Delray.

Their properties are needed for construction on the new Gordie Howe International Bridge, so they'll meet one on one with officials to talk about their individual needs.

President and CEO of the WindsorDetroit Bridge Authority Michael Cautillo calls it an important step in the project.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently announced the name of the new border crossing between Windsor and Detroit. Construction is expected to finish in 2020.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
