Tentative Deal With TRW

Unifor Local 444 has a tentative deal with one of four auto parts suppliers.

Workers at TRW Automotive will vote on the agreement during a ratification vote Sunday at the Unifor Local 444 hall on Turner Rd. in Windsor. The meeting starts at 9am.

Local President Dino Chiodo says the union meets with Dakkota today. "Now that we have a pattern established it'll be a matter of just giving them the collective agreement and establishing what we need to make sure nobody has an unfair advantage over another."

The strike deadline was 11:59pm Friday. Chiodo says deadlines will be imposed on the other employers, like two days to ensure talks move along.

Workers at TRW, Dakkota, HPBO and Oakley have been working without a contract since March.
