A Great Fit For ComiCon

Windsor is set to host its largest ever comic convention this August at Caesars.

Promoter Steve Menzie has been producing conventions in major cities across North America for nearly a decade, and figures there's no better place than Windsor for his first venture as an independent producer.

"I wanted to do something in Ontario, and quite honestly Windsor was the primary city that didn't have a comic con of significant size," says Menzie. "I looked at the demographic information, the proximity to Detroit, the casino that's there."

A number of celebrities are expected to take part in Windsor ComiCon, including comic icon Kevin Smith, actors from Star Wars, TV shows Gotham and the Walking Dead, along with voice actors and comic book artists.

The event is set for August 15 and 16 at Caesars Windsor. For ticket information and a full list of celebrities and workshops, visit www.windsorcomicon.com.
