Talks At HPBO Kick Into High Gear

The clock is ticking as officials from Unifor Local 444 and HPBO Lippstadt Deutsch meet in their bid to reach a tentative agreement.

The union already has contract agreements at three other auto parts manufacturers that supply the Windsor Assembly Plant.

This past Saturday, workers at Dakkota Integrated Systems ratified a three-year agreement while members at Oakley Sub Assembly ratified a seven-month agreement.

Fiat-Chrysler has decided not to renew its contract with Oakley but hasn't announced yet who will supply the Windsor plant in its place.

Earlier this month, workers at TRW ratified a three-year agreement.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
