Thousands Without Power After Storm

Hydro One and Enwin Utilities have been working to restore power to 3,400 homes and businesses in Windsor and Essex County this morning.

According to Hydro One's Storm Center, 1,100 outages in Kingsville could take until 4pm to get fully restored.

About 1,600 outages assessed in the Leamington-Wheatley area have now been restored, with the exception of a few.

Less than 100 outages remain in Windsor.

Enwin says most of the power outages were caused by lightning strikes from this morning's severe thunderstorm.
