High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

AlphaKOR Group is celebrating 20 years in Windsor by opening a new campus.
President of the technology-based company Frank Abbruzzese is excited to see his company be able to grow and stay in Windsor, by moving from Mercer St. to a 12,000 sq. ft. facility on Twin Oaks Dr. "The first day was April 27, when we snuck in here in the middle of the night, and we actually hired our 40th employee."
Abbruzzese, who is also the chair of WEtech Alliance, says he plans to hire 10-to-15 more people over the next year and a half.
