The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit says Sandpoint and West Belle River are closed. Officials say bacteria level readings are far too high to allow for people in the water.
Hillman, Mettawas, Cedar Island and Holiday beaches also posted high counts but not enough to warrant full closures to swimmers.
The health unit conducts beach water testing between June and September each year.
