Woman Struck By Vehicle

No charges are being laid after a 50-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Friday afternoon, a 2012 Chevy Traverse was reversing into a parking spot in the area of University Ave. W and Victoria Ave., when it struck the woman.

The woman was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries and was later released.

Police say the woman did not have the right-of-way to cross the street when she was struck.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
