UPDATE: Police Resolve Stand-Off

Police are charging a 29-year-old Windsor man after an hour long stand-off at a motel in the city.

The Windsor Police Service says on Thursday around 6pm, officers responded to the area near the Towne and Country Motel located at 2883 Howard Ave to investigate a possible stolen motor vehicle.

Once police arrived, a man allegedly locked himself in one of the rooms at the motel and refused to come out. After about an hour, officers were able to talk the man out of the room and place him under arrest.
